The Silvia CSP311 is a one of a kind Coupe with it's unique styling, chassis and the engines used. The first ever Silvia was the CSP311 (Picture below), a classic Japanese car which first hit the streets in 1965, but production on the CSP soon ended in 1968 with only 554 of these beautiful cars produced, each one with hand-formed body panels! So getting your hands on one certainly isn't going to be easy... Or cheap. The car came with a 90HP 1.6L Nissan R Series Engine and a 4 speed manual gearbox, not fantastic but the car did only weigh 977KG (2,154LB), which really isn't bad for the time it was made. 49 of these masterpieces of engineering were exported to Australia (So if you're Australian and interested, you might just be in luck!), also 10 more were exported to other Countries which have not been named.

The S10 was Nissan's next Silvia, which started production in 1975 and was the first one too have the popular S platform. If you don't know what the S-chassis is, basically.. "Compact, rear wheel drive, sporty car platform". This car, unlike the CSP311, was equipped with a bigger 1.8L L18 engine, producing 105hp @ 5000rpm. However, In America, the S10 came with a 2.0L L20B which put down only 97hp and 102lb-ft of torque. She was supplied with a 3 Speed Automatic and a 5 Speed Manual.. I'll take the manual option, please. Unfortunately, many people bought the Toyota Celica instead of the S10, so the S10 didn't have much production success. I'd still die for one, though.

Next in line we have the S110, came into the market in 1979 and ended in 1983. This car is a wee-bit different from the others, this time you had the option of either a 2-door coupe or a 3-door hatchback. The JDM version for the hatchback was called the Gazelle and was exclusive to only Nissan Bluebird Stores. This car, ended up with plenty of engines, such as the 1.8L Z18ET, this engine produced 135HP and supplied with everyones favourite; a Turbo! The next engine we have is the 2.0L FJ20E, distinguished by the 'E' for Electronic Fuel Injection! This came a little bit faster than the other engine at 148HP! We also have the 2.0L Z20, 2.0L Z20E, 2.2L Z22E and the FJ24. Mounted with either a 3 speed Automatic or a 5 speed Manual. Also an S-Chassis car.
The FJ24 engine is a Dual Overhead Camshaft Engine (DOHC), it laid out a whopping 237HP and 173LB-FT @ 6000RPM. It's first use was in the 1983 S110 240RS.
Nissan Silvia S12
Here we have the S12, production started in 1984 and ended in 1988. This is also a Nissan S-Platform. This car was sold in two configurations, a coupe and hatchback. Plenty of engines went into this car, depending on it's location in the world and year of production. American S12 (200sx) coupes were given a 2.0L SOHC (Single overhead Camshaft) CA20E which pushed out 105HP and 120lb-ft of Torque. While the Hatchback version was provided with 2 different engines, one was the CA20E and the other was a 1.8L SOHC Turbo(CA18ET), which produced 135HP and 141lb-ft of torque. In 1987, Nissan discontinued the Turbo engine and replaced it for the 'SE' Model, which had a big 3.0L SOHC V6 (VG30E). This engine put out 160HP and 171lb-ft of torque. In 1988, the 'SE' model received a 5hp gain but torque stayed roughly the same. Not bad for a car weighing in at 1,170kg (2,580lb). The engines were fitted with either a 5 speed Manual or 4 speed Automatic.
Europe's S12 (Silvia) was only available as the Hatchback version and was mounted with the same 1.8L CA18ET. But some areas received the 2.0L DOHC FJ20E.
